TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
